In St. Paul, Minnesota, LEED-certified affordable housing has become the norm, not the exception.

In the first few months of 2025, at least three projects have received certification, including two apartment buildings and the state’s first LEED Platinum single family home. Two other large mixed-use developments, each covering more than 100 acres, are currently under way, with significant affordable housing components and many buildings seeking LEED certification.
